The
Area
Arguably
the most beautiful of the Cumbrian Lakes, Ullswater
is only a matter of minutes from Bank House Farm
and whether you wish to stroll along its shores,
sail its length or view it from one of the many
vantage points it is a must for any visitor.
If you enjoy walking many walks can begin from
the farm; across the fields to Gowbarrow, Little
Mell or Great Mell, along the bridleway to the
old coach road and the Dodds. The spectacular
Aira Force is also easily reached on foot or you
can drive into Glenridding and take the Ullswater
Steamer to Howtown and Pooley Bridge.
