If you enjoy walking many walks can begin from the farm; across the fields to Gowbarrow, Little Mell or Great Mell, along the bridleway to the old coach road and the Dodds. The spectacular Aira Force is also easily reached on foot or you can drive into Glenridding and take the Ullswater Steamer to Howtown and Pooley Bridge.
